I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed reading your book "QUAD." I really felt like I could relate to a lot of the characters ... and being made fun of. ... Your book was very well constructed and it was believeable, that ridiculing, torturing, taunting happens every day and how it hurts and how it has an impact on what people do sometimes. -Shelby |

Hey. I read [your book] in a day or two. It was pretty cool. I like the way it jumps around from group to group so you get a cool perspective on the same event. I didn't even try to guess who the shooter was. It could have been anyone... -Will |
I can see the characters walking around. Two of the characters, Rufus and Ranger, reminded me of my best friend Kevin and me. Kevin's nickname was Rufus. In grade school, Kevin and I wore long, black coats, but we never stole bags of pot. The character I liked the least was Maggie. Maggie was jealous and ruined a girl’s dream. I'm not too sure where the gun came from. I liked the paper cover. It was tactile and gave me a good feeling. I read the book in two nights, a total of two hours. It was a good story. I liked the way the chapters were mixed up with the different characters' perspectives. I kept reading to find out who the shooter was. The book did a good job of brainwashing me on who the shooter was. I would recommend this book. I said to my grandmother, "If you read this, you wouldn't want me to go to high school." -Josh |
hey! I like just read your book in about two days! It was that good. I loved it because it exposed the truth about high school what some kids go though everyday. The only part that I didn't like was the ending. mostly because, what happens to everybody? ... I would love to know all the answers because it just seems like you leave us hanging. -Erika |
